About Pricing your new conservatory
There is a huge difference prices for conservatories because there is a huge range of choice. As has been mentioned before, the lowest cost conservatory type in the market is likely to be a “lean-to” design.
A basic (DIY fitted) Lean-to example sized around 2300mm x 2500mm utilizing full glass sides & a polycarbonate roof from Wickes is currently priced at £2,799.99.
The price does include a base, but you could find a steel base for around £1,300
At the other end of the spectrum you have Bespoke Orangeries, the price of which can be considerably higher.
You are going to get a beautiful & substantial room for your money (and adding an orangery conservatory is well known to add around 10% to the value of a property), but high quality bespoke rooms can “come in” from £20,000 to £30,000+
It may be that you already have a conservatory, but it has passed its’ “sell-by date” and could do with a make-over. In this instance, you could re-use the existing base and just opt to have a new structure erected in its’ place. This will clearly save the cost of paying for a new base to be constructed and with even steel bases costing £1,000 or more, this is a decent cost saving.
So, to get a specific answer for “How Much Do Conservatories Cost in 2017?”, you are going to need to ask a more specific question – something like “How Much Does a 2300mm x 2500mm Lean-to uPVC conservatory cost for supply & fit in 2017?”. In that way you can get a more accurate answer.
